Dagny Taggart

Dagny Taggart (Atlas Shrugged) Railroad heiress, admirer of the symphonies of Richard Halley, and the real brains behind Taggart Transcontinental. She continually makes the mistake of believing in others, when really we know that they don't deserve it.

She was the childhood sweetheart of Francisco D'Anconia, but later in life, he doesn't let her in on his deep cover, and she gets the wrong idea. She's a bit slow on the uptake, but eventually falls for Hank Reardon, who is pretty good, but no match in the end for John Galt.

“Seeing her in the suits she wore, one never thought of Dagny Taggart's body.”

Atlas Shrugged

Dagny is a girl who knows what she wants, but Directive 10-289 leaves her with her hands tied.

Before she hooks up with Hank, she raises eyebrows in society circles when she makes a trades an expensive diamond bracelet with Hank's wife Lillian for a rather plain green Reardon Metal bracelet.
